I have it on reasonably good authority that X-Factor runner-up Ray has lied about his age and is actually 29.
Raymond Quinn, who looks to be in his late teens, has been appearing on ‘reality’ TV competition X-Factor claiming to be 18.
There has been much comment on his age – many people saying he seems younger than he acts – over-confidence and rather over-zealous charm.
Ray appeared on TV as ‘Anthony Murray’ in Channel 4′s cancelled Brookside, winning awards in 2002 and 2003.
It is rumoured that although the press have his CV/Resumé/Profile which shows his date of birth in the late 70′s (rather than the 1988 reported elsewhere), that they are waiting to see his birth certificate before releasing the story.

Just to clarify, I was just reporting a rumour I had heard, and never thought he really could be older than me (25). Chances are that my ‘source’ may have been duped herself, or, more likely, was duping me!
This post was also an experiment to see how many more people would visit my blog if I talked about something timely, rather than my usual witterings.
